Archery: Archery enthusiasts can attend the Archery Range on Rockvale Rd every Sunday. All gear is provided.

Arboretum: Kentucky St. Native plants and trees, a lookout, aquatic gardens, public facilities and a great place for a picnic.

Armidale Heritage Tour: The Armidale Visitor Information Centre offers you a leisurely 2 1/2 hour city tour of Armidale. Suitable for ages above 5 years. Tours are free - donations most welcome. Deer Park, University of New England: Fallow deer descendants of the original herd from Booloominbah can be viewed in an enclosed area along with kangaroos.

Fossicking: Fossicking can be done anywhere in NSW, except in national parks, provided that you have the permission of the land owner or controlling authority, and, if the area is the subject of an exploration or mining lease, the lease holder. Visitors can fossick at their leisure.
